I'd been working on a comic book project recently called '52 Pick-Up' with UK writer Tony Lee performing the duties pencils, inks and lettering. The plug was pulled on it before it every really got going for various reasons out of my control. So, here for your viewing pleasure is all the art I created. Colors on the cover and first two interior pages were done by colorist Don MacKinnon.
In 2002, I wrote and illustrated a six page short story which appeared in Digital Webbing Presents #2 - March 2002. The following is Jonah Faraday: Demonhunter. Jonah is our mysterious, reluctant hero who posesses the supernatural ability to destroy demons who cross over from Hell to our realm. You'll have to read the rest.
Comic book stuff! These pieces were done for various contests, projects or for portfolio pieces. I did all the work for each piece - pencils, inks, coloring and lettering. Top left is the newest and follows chronologically to the bottom right for the oldest art.
These are just doodles. Sometimes doodles and scribbles turn out much better than most finished drawings do. Don't take these too seriously, they were done for fun, to kill some time or as a quick study for a bigger project. I thought they would be fun to share. Enjoy!
While finishing up my degree, I did art for the college newspaper, 'The Columbian'. Various articles call for my original, fun artwork which I was more than happy to produce. I also did a comic strip for the paper called 'Pop Quiz' which you'll be able to read on this site very soon.
